I am back in Yokohama for the weekend, but unfortunately Haru has been sick with an acute case of Pneumonia. Although its painful for me to deal with this, Haru has been doing as well as any 2 year old could do in situation like this. She hasn’t had much of an appetite for for the last few days and her fever has been quite high (39℃ or higher) which is dangerously high for anyone.

I was scheduled to return to Hokkaido tomorrow morning on an 8AM flight, but I’ve postponed it until Thursday. I want to make absolutely sure that Haru’s Pneumonia is waning before I head back or I don’t think I could concentrate on my work. Lately, there have been a some cases of toddler deaths due to Pneumonia so this has got me quite worried. I’m sure that she will be alright, but I don’t want to take anything for granted, or falsely assume that Haru is invulnerable to illness.
sleep and plenty of liquids is what is needed to fight off pneumonia
